Celtic will face Aston Villa tonight in the final group game in the Champions League.
The Bhoys travel to Villa Park hoping to get a positive result in Europe’s elite competition as there is still a seeded playoff place up for grabs for Celtic.
Day eight of the Champions League has every club in the competition kicking off at the same time as excitement builds about who join Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers in the final stages of UEFA’s top tournament.
With the game live on TV, Celtic supporters who can’t travel to Villa Park will be glued to their screens as Ally McCoist and TNT Sports keep them up to date with all the goings on around all fixtures.
Looking ahead to the big game, McCoist was asked who he will be supporting with Jeff Stelling cheekily asking which shirt he will be wearing when Celtic takes on Aston Villa.

Ally McCoist shares if he will be wearing his Aston Villa shirt vs Celtic in Champions League
McCoist told talkSPORT, “I will not be wearing my Villa shirt. That is a game I’m looking forward to. I’m in the studio tomorrow night, covering all the games and normally do the co-comms, which I love, but I’m in the studio, watching all the games coming in.
“You can’t beat a Scotland v England clash, I really enjoy them. I’ll be interested to see what happens. Celtic clearly, at this moment in time are the best team in Scotland by a good distance.”
Ally McCoist says Celtic have improved their ‘European pedigree’ in Champions League
Celtic’s record in the Champions League over previous years has not made good reading but Brendan Rodgers has turned that around this season.
With three wins, three draws and a solitary defeat to Borussia Dortmund, McCoist confesses Celtic are now proving to be a European force once again.
“The majority of their European performances have been good,” said McCoist, “Take away the hiding away at Dortmund, which can happen, I think they’ve improved and come along in terms of European pedigree and established themselves with some good results at Atlanta.
“I’m looking forward to it. I definitely think Brendan’s changed his approach and the Celtic fans may tell me otherwise but I think Brendan’s changed his approach.”
Celtic will be hoping to pick up their fourth win of the campaign and hope that if other results go the Bhoys’ way, a Champions League top-eight finish could become a reality.
