Celtic qualified for the Champions League playoff places after beating Young Boys midweek.

The Champions League win at Celtic Park helped Parkhead boss Rodgers earn his 12th point of the campaign and has guaranteed the Hoops at least an unseeded place in the playoffs.

Sitting in 18th place above the likes of Man City and PSG, Celtic could climb further up the table and nab a seeded place with a positive result against Aston Villa next week.

However, Rodgers could do what looked like the unthinkable and secure an automatic route into the last 16 of the Champions League but there are a lot of results that would need to go the Celtic manager’s way for that to happen.

How Celtic could secure an automatic Champions League last 16 place

First off, Celtic must beat Aston Villa. The Parkhead club’s away win record is not the best in the competition but should Rodgers pull it off, 67 Hail Hail have worked out exactly which results need to fall the Hoops manager’s way to reach that top-eight place.

How the Champions League table would look if results fell Celtic’s way

Now 67 Hail Hail is the first to say that the likelihood of all these results happening is slim to none, but Celtic fans can dream, right?

But should the unthinkable happen, using UEFA’s result simulator, here is how the Champions League table would look with Celtic in the top eight.
