Celtic fans have been enjoying watching the events over at Rangers unfold as the Ibrox club continue their search for yet another manager.
Celtic’s dominance of Scottish football has caused Rangers to go through six managers in eight years as the Ibrox club struggle to keep up with the power of the Parkhead club.
On and off the park Celtic are miles ahead of Rangers, and as Brendan Rodgers closes in on another treble, his rivals appear to be closing in on their new manager.
Davide Ancelotti appears to be the favourite to take over the Ibrox hotseat and as Ally McCoist ran the rule over the possible appointment, the former Rangers striker made a laughable comparison of the inexperienced Real Madrid coach to that of Celtic appointing Ange Postecoglou.

Ally McCoist uses Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic success to sell Davide Ancelotti to Rangers
McCoist was asked his thoughts on Rangers appointing an inexperienced coach to try and catch Celtic when the former Rangers man compared the current situation to Ange Postecoglou’s appointment in 2021.
McCoist said on talkSPORT, “Every appointment is a gamble. I think it’s difficult to pre-judge, I really do.
“Because effectively, we don’t know. But with the greatest of respect, big Ange coming to Celtic, how many times have played that piece [Alan Brazil’s Celtic rant] and he was a massive success.
“So really you don’t know, but I get what Simon’s saying. From his point of view, it’s sometimes better to go with somebody who has a history, a bit of background, so you know.
“But there’s other times. How do you get your opportunity? Simon’s point is, you get your opportunity to be going to perhaps a smaller club, right? And get an experience doing that.
“And take that absolutely, take that. My argument against it would be he has been with his dad for so long.”
Why using Celtic hero Ange Postecoglou to justify Rangers’ pursuit of Davide Ancelotti is just daft
Ange Postecoglou’s record as a manager before he arrived at Celtic was very impressive. Even though he arrived at Parkhead as a relatively unknown quantity, the Australian had an impressive CV.

Davide Ancelotti is yet to venture out as his own man as he has always been under the wing of his dad, Carlo.
So to compare this possible appointment by Rangers to Celtic’s of Ange Postecoglou is just plain daft.
