Andy Walker has been honest on his view as to whether or not Wilfried Nancy is the right manager for the Celtic job.

Nancy is under huge pressure and needs his side to beat Aberdeen or probably face the sack.

The Frenchman pleaded with fans to give him time after Celtic fans called for him to leave following a fourth consecutive loss in midweek against Dundee United.

Time is running out for the 48-year-old to win people over, and former Hoops striker Walker has revealed if he thinks Nancy is the man to take Celtic forward.

Walker was invited onto TalkSPORT alongside Henry Winter and Shaun Custis to discuss the ongoing issues with the Bhoys.

While he has condoned the abuse Nancy received from sections of the away end in the defeat against Dundee United.

Another loss would be the fifth consecutive one, and Walker thinks that being beaten by Aberdeen would be the final nail in the coffin.

He said: “I think the next few weeks are crucial and if you want to be positive about it, if Celtic win their game in hand they’re only three points behind Hearts. That’s not insurmountable.

“If he loses to Aberdeen, I can’t see any way back for him. Having said that, I’m just looking at things from the outside.

“I don’t think you can survive if you can lose five games in a row. Remember, this is a home game with 50,000 to 60,000 fans there. If they lose, it’ll be toxic.”
