Two of Celtic’s biggest heroes in 2021 have sent messages to supporters to bring in the new year.

2022 promises to be an exciting one for the Bhoys and all the club’s fans as Ange Postecoglou continues to stamp his mark on the Celtic squad. Having already made three signings, Postecoglou is certainly prepared for the challenges ahead.

The Celtic boss sent a new year’s message to supporters via video last night, stating: “I just want to take this opportunity to wish all the Celtic family a Happy New Year.

“2021 was a challenging year for all of us, in many different ways. I know for my family – we started the year at the other side of the world and now find ourselves here as part of the Celtic family.

“I’m certainly looking forward to 2022. Hopefully, it’s an exciting year for us as a football club. But more importantly, I just want to wish everyone out there a safe, healthy and prosperous new year.

“Above all, make sure you look after yourselves and I’m looking forward to seeing you all at Celtic Park.”

Meanwhile, one of Postecoglou’s greatest signings in 2021 has also sent a message to fans on social media today, apparently enjoying himself out and about in the Scottish countryside.

The forward said in a Twitter post: “Happy New Year! Thank you for your support always! I will do my best this year without forgetting my gratitude.”

Kyogo is now going to be joined by three compatriots from Japan, giving this Celtic squad a brand new feel. This freshness should serve us well in the second half of the season.

In fact, it could even bring out the absolutely best of our star forward. Wouldn’t that be exciting?
