Ange Postecoglou was beaming earlier when talking about new Celtic signing Hyeongyu Oh.

The Korean forward has joined the club on a five year deal after leaving K League 1 side Suwon Samsung Bluewings.

Postecoglou was asked for his thoughts on the deal in a Celtic TV interview, and looked genuinely buzzing to welcome Oh to the club.

He was asked whether the forward is someone who will get the Celtic faithful off their seats.

“I really believe that,” Postecoglou replied. “Especially with the way we currently play, he’s all action.

“He gets his hands dirty, he works hard, he loves a goal; for a young guy, he’s only 21, his goals kept his club up last year.

“So it’s not like he’s coming from a club that was doing well, creating bags of opportunities, which shows his character.

“I think Celtic fans will warm to him very quickly.”

So Ange’s early prediction is that it won’t take long for us fans to take to Oh.

A similar start to the one Kyogo Furuhashi made 18 months ago would be absolutely class.

Postecoglou can often be very matter of fact in these kind of videos, so it was a complete joy to see him visibly excited about what the Korean can bring to the team.

Ange seems to reckon that Oh will be an excellent fit for Celtic’s style of play, with pressing, tackling and goalscoring all key parts of his game.

If we’ve learned one thing from the past 18 months it’s to trust Ange.

If he’s excited about this signing then we should all probably be too.
