Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has insisted there is yet more to come from Greg Taylor after his man-of-the-match display against Livingston.

The left-back put in a strong showing, as he helped the Bhoys to a 3-0 win as we maintained our nine-point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

Taylor was, in fact, the man to put the Hoops in the lead, scoring in the first half to put Ange Postecoglou’s side 1-0 up after 29 minutes.

The defender isn’t regularly used to being on the scoresheet. However, last night’s strike was his second against Livingston this campaign.

Alongside his goal, Taylor put in another impressive performance on the left-hand side, as we have become so accustomed to seeing from the Scotland international.

Speaking in the immediate aftermath of the fixture, Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou was full of praise for his left-back and insisted there is still yet more to come from him.

He said [BBC Sportsound]: “I can’t talk about before I got here, but since I’ve been here, he’s really embraced the challenge of being a key part of this team.

“Obviously, the way we play is a little bit different, I think he’s embraced that, and he’s continuing to improve.

“That’s the key for us. We’re constantly looking to push our boys to be better, and he’s one that’s got that appetite to continually ask the questions of how he can improve.

“I think again on nights like tonight when the opposition are going to try and stop our attacking threats, the ability of other players to pull up in areas where they can be a goal threat, and score goals is important.

“He’s done that on a number of occasions this year, and I think there’s more to come from him.”

Greg Taylor continues to impress as he adds goals to his game.

We may still have quite a few games before the end of the season. However, you would have to imagine Greg Taylor is one of the favourites for the player of the year award.

The 25-year-old has just taken his game to a new level under Ange Postecoglou and appears to be continuing to improve every week.

He also looks to be adding goals to his game, taking his tally to three for the season in last night’s comfortable victory.

These are all brilliant signs, and it has been great to see the former Kilmarnock man thriving in the green and white Hoops.

The most exciting part is the Celtic manager still believes there is even more to come from Greg Taylor, following a strong season already.

Here’s hoping we can continue to see Taylor playing a key role in the side for the rest of the 2022/23 campaign and beyond.
