Ange Postecoglou has distanced himself and the club from any transfer reports that suggest Celtic are close to signing players for next season already.
Celtic have already been linked with a number of performers ahead of the summer transfer window, most notably Mohanad Jeahze.
Reports earlier this week indicated the player was ready to commit to the Bhoys and become the club’s first signing of the 2022/23 campaign.

Ange refutes Celtic transfer rumours
However, Ange has poured cold water on anything imminent happening, revealing that no talks with players have yet occurred.
Speaking in a press conference on Friday [Celtic YouTube], the Celtic boss said: “In terms of being linked to players, I can tell you we haven’t had any discussions with any players about bringing them in right now.
“So anyone that’s been touted in the media is probably being touted for their own purposes, not because of anything I’ve done.
“We obviously will make moves but as you’ve seen in the past we’ll make them very quickly. Not that it won’t get out, but they’ll be concluded very quickly. There’s nothing at the moment that will be concluded in the next week or so.”
So, don’t expect anything imminent then.
Planning is of course underway, Postecoglou has already admitted that. I suspect a number of signings will be made before the club’s trip to Austria for pre-season in early July.
We have to remember it is still only mid-May, however! The team, staff and manager will enjoy today and then hopefully get a bit of well-earned rest. Then the official business can start to be done for next term.
Exciting times are ahead!
