Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou had barely even processed going out of the UEFA Europa Conference League before completely moving on from the tournament.

After last night’s defeat in Norway, Postecoglou faced assembled press to discuss the tie.

One Norwegian journalist wanted his thoughts on Bodo/Glimt and whether or not they can progress strongly in the competition.

Ange was, well, typically Ange with his response, stating [The Times]: “Mate, come on. Ask their coach. Why do I care? Really. Do you think I really care who wins this tournament now? We’re not going to win it.

“They’re a good team, I hope they keep going well, but I couldn’t care less who wins the tournament.”

As always, it’s amusing to see Postecoglou take on the media when they ask daft questions, but it really does demonstrate the laser focus of the manager.

I’d guess as soon as the full-time whistle went last night he was already thinking about Hibernian and the remainder of the Scottish Premiership.

Some might argue he had one eye on the game before kick-off with his team selection too.

He has no interest in European niceties or paying tribute to Bodo/Glimt – he just wants success for Celtic and if he doesn’t get it in one competition, it’s dead to him.

As it should be.

Hopefully, we see a similar ruthless spirit from the Celtic team on Sunday in what is a huge match at Easter Road. Let’s really put Rangers under pressure and open a six-point gap.
