It is getting to that time of the season when transfer interest will build on not only people coming into Celtic but also players leaving the club.
We all know that Ange Postecoglou is not averse to selling his best players should it benefit the team. The Celtic manager has proven that when he offloaded Giorgos Giakoumakis and Josip Juranovic in January.
But what Ange is great at is finding replacements for his top stars. And according to Anthony Joseph, he may well need to do that this summer.

Reporting for Sky Sports, Joseph said, “A number of clubs from the English Premier League and across Europe are interested in Carl Starfelt.
“His current deal expires in the summer of 2025 and if they do decide to sell, they have a replacement already in Yuki Kobayashi, who was signed from Vissel Kobe in January.”
Kobayashi may well be that ready-made replacement but it doesn’t get away from the fact that another defender would need to be signed to keep the depth of the squad in place.
With Champions League group football next season, Celtic will need extra manpower to cope with the extra demands those eight European games provide.

Starfelt has been immense for Celtic this season. Recently voted in the PFA’s Scottish Premiership Team of the Year, the big Swede has impressed his peers with his performances for Celtic.
After two seasons at the club, the 27-year-old has come in for, in my opinion, some unfair and harsh criticism from certain quarters. But what cannot be denied is that he has been a major part of Ange Postecoglou’s success over the last two seasons.
