In all the negativity surrounding Celtic at the moment, Anthony Ralston has shared the one ray of light out of a bleak ten days for Wilfried Nancy.

The Celtic boss has come under intense scrutiny after the Hoops defeat to Hearts at Parkhead left the Bhoys three points behind in the title race.

A few days later and a footballing lesson was dealt to Celtic in the Europa League as Roma battered Nancy’s side 3-0.

However, it was in that game that Anthony Ralston spotted one of Celtic’s best performers and the defender has told Nancy he has a special talent on his hands.

Kelechi Iheanacho’s Celtic performance vs Roma impressed Ralston

The Celtic defender was brought on in the 62nd minute when the Bhoys were already 3-0 down to Roma.

But it was Kelechi Iheanacho’s performance that impressed Ralston as he tells Nancy the striker ‘can help the team’ now he’s back from his injury.

Ralston told The Herald, “He is a great player. He is another one who has seen it all and done it all before.

“When he came on, I thought he was brilliant. Holding onto the ball, giving us that out ball as well, and that fight too.

“He has obviously had his injury and it’s great to have him back to full health and he can help the team.”
