Celtic thrashed Aberdeen 5-1 despite not being at their best at Parkhead last night.
Brendan Rodgers notched his 23rd win of the season as Celtic knocked five past Aberdeen in a performance that really was a game of two halves.
With four different goal-scorers, Celtic eventually asserted their dominance over Aberdeen after a strange first-half performance that saw the Hoops go in at the break 3-0 up.
Speaking after the match, Arne Engels explains why his Celtic teammates went in at half-time ‘unhappy’ despite the Bhoys scoring three goals in the first 45 minutes of the match.

Arne Engels says Celtic were not happy as ‘things were not going our way’
The young Belgian was in sparkling form as he created two assists in a fine performance that saw the Celtic midfielder pick up the man-of-the-match award.
And speaking post-match, Engels shares the Celtic dressing room feeling at half time despite holding a healthy three-goal lead.
Engels told Sky Sports, “Yeah, I think really happy [with the win]. I think the team did really well today. You see that we always bounce back after a defeat, so I think the first half wasn’t our best first half, so we needed to change it in the second half, and we did really great.
“So yeah, well done to the team.”
“Everybody was coming into the dressing room not happy because some things weren’t going our way or how we wanted to play, so we changed some things.
“And then you see, if we look after the ball, that we do really well, and we create a lot of chances.”
Arne Engels’ comments prove one thing about the Celtic hero
Engels’ comments make great reading for Celtic fans as it proves just how quickly the young Belgian has adapted to life at the club.
With just over half a season under his belt, Engels is clearly showing signs of being a proven winner if he’s unhappy at taking a 3-0 lead into the break against Aberdeen.
The 21-year-old is showing great maturity at such a young age and is also showing that he gets what Celtic is all about.
It’s not just about the result at Parkhead; it’s also about the performance, and it seems that whatever was said in the Parkhead dressing room worked as the Bhoys were much improved in the final 45 minutes of the game.
