Celtic are struggling for goals and that was really apparent in the Parkhead home defeat to Hibs at the weekend.

Benjamin Nygren has been Celtic’s major goal provider of late and it’s a stat that is starting to concern the vast majority of fans.

However, with Daizen Maeda and Tomas Cvancara misfiring and Kelechi Iheanacho nowhere to be seen after recovering from injury, former Celtic striker Hyeongyu Oh has been producing the goods for his new club Besiktas this season.

Celtic cult star Hyeongyu Oh scores three goals in three appearances

Oh moved to Besiktas for over £10m from Genk this season and already he has paid back a large portion of that fee.

Hyeongyu Oh’s scoring stats since leaving Celtic

Oh left Celtic for Genk in July 2024 and since then his career has gone from strength to strength, becoming the Belgian club’s main first choice striker.

Here is how Oh has fared since his Celtic exit:

It’s worth noting that in Oh’s three appearances for Besiktas, the South Korean has also created two assists, so goals are not just part of his game now.
