Auston Trusty is ready for a challenge in Celtic’s Champions League tie vs Bayern Munich.
The American has had a decent campaign in the competition since his arrival in Glasgow with his coming out party against Atalanta silencing doubters from THAT night in Dortmund.
Trusty has been a solid defensive partner for Cameron Carter-Vickers and Liam Scales at times and he hopes to continue that against Bayern when the two clubs do battle tomorrow evening.
He will come up against one of the world’s best strikers in the form of Harry Kane who has notched 28 goals in as many games for the Bundesliga giants this term.
It is an incredible return for the England captain who has also chipped in with 10 assists in that time, but Trusty wants to show Celtic can hang with the best of them and keep them quiet.

“I’ve played against many players who are world class and who are great players as well,” Trusty said on coming up against Kane.
“But as a defender you kind of look forward to those games and you want to test yourself.
“He’s backed by a lot of people and he’s shown a lot of people he can do amazing things.
“But as a defender you want to show that you can stop that and do your best.”
Keeping Kane shackled will be an incredibly difficult task but Trusty is confident he and partner Carter-Vickers can do if they can continue their partnership at the back.
The pair have been formidable domestically but in Europe it has been a different task in general.
Still, the duo have kept clean sheets and found the net at the other end between them and that has helped Trusty come on leaps and bounds.

“It’s been great. Cam and also everyone on the team,” Trusty added.
“I’m new here. I’m the new guy on the pitch with them.
“So everyone here is welcoming me with open arms and every game I’ve gotten with them.
