Celtic are miles ahead of Rangers in the Scottish Premiership.
But according to one BBC pundit, the real gap between Celtic and Rangers is not that wide, which you would have to assume is because of the last Glasgow Derby, in which the Bhoys suffered a defeat at Ibrox.
Since then, however, Celtic have opened up an even bigger gap at the top of the Scottish Premiership table as a 15-point chasm separates the two clubs.
Since the New Year Derby, Celtic’s results have remained consistent after the Bhoys beat Ross County, St Mirren and Dundee United scoring nine and conceding just once in the process.
On the other hand, Rangers stuttered to draws against Hibs and St Mirren and have beaten St Johnstone as they struggle to keep up with Celtic manager, Brendan Rodgers’ team’s relentlessness.
And let’s not forget the League Cup is also back at Celtic Park.
But even after all that, BBC pundit and former Rangers man, Derek Ferguson is still debating the gap between Celtic and the Ibrox club.

Derek Ferguson’s bizarre verdict on the gap between Celtic & Rangers
Offering his insight on Celtic’s win against Ross County, Ferguson was told by BBC’s Kenny MacIntyre that the Hoops were ‘miles ahead’ of Rangers when he offered this alternative and slightly deluded view.
Ferguson told BBC Scotland, “Miles ahead head in terms of their mentality. Ability wise it’s always up for debate.
“You know, you talk about a collective and individually, but there’s one thing for sure. I mean, they get pegged back the day, but you just knew that group were going to find a way to win that game of football today.”
Where to even start with that? If the argument is based on ability then one question should have been asked of Ferguson.
How many players from Rangers’ squad would get into Celtic’s first team? Debate over.
Derek Ferguson sounds envious of ‘sensational’ Celtic vs Ross County
But Ferguson did take a minute to praise Celtic as he talked up the Parkhead club’s ability to win ugly after watching the late show against Don Cowie’s men.
“The conditions were tricky,” continued Ferguson, “The pitch was pretty awful, to be honest with you, really bobbly, but Celtic, we know when they’re free-flowing on a good surface, the type of football they can play is sensational at times.
“But they found another way of playing the game the day. They didn’t just dig out a win. They ended up winning it pretty handsomely.
“So that’s where you tip your cap to them because that’s a group that has got a lot of belief in each other and it comes from the manager as well.”
At least he got one thing correct. Celtic’s next fixture is tomorrow night against Dundee where Brendan Rodgers can go 18 points clear of Rangers again who face Aberdeen at Ibrox 24 hours later.
