Brendan Rodgers is now starting to hand a few young guns a chance with the senior side, as Celtic cruise to the title.
On Tuesday night, Celtic thrashed Aberdeen 5-1 to move 16 points clear at the top of the Premiership table and it’s a case of when the title will be won, not if.

Yes, Rodgers has to remain professional and Celtic still need to get the job done even if everyone knows what is coming in these next few months.
But that doesn’t mean that the Celtic manager can’t provide a few of his young stars with a chance on the big stage because he did just that against Aberdeen.
The new kid on the block is Jude Bonnar. The midfielder came on in the 80th minute for Celtic’s Man of the Match Arne Engels.

Ben Doak reacts to Jude Bonnar’s Celtic debut against Aberdeen
One man who knows what it’s like to make his debut as a Celtic youngster is Ben Doak after he was handed his chance under Ange Postecoglou in 2022.
Doak proceeded to leave Celtic Park, join Liverpool and now he is thriving on loan at Championship side, Middlesbrough.
Following Bonnar’s debut, Doak took to his Instagram story to react to the 19-year-old’s first minutes in the green and white colours.
The Scotland international sent two emojis to the player – 😎 and 🤩, as he was reacting to the below IG post from the club.
Bonnar’s stats at youth level for Celtic this season
Given how comfortable Celtic are at the top of the table, fans will be hoping to see more young gems handed a chance to prove themselves.
Even if they aren’t in the team next season, the experience is something they will remember and it might help them earn a loan deal.
Either way, Bonnar is getting plenty of minutes under his belt for the younger age groups, playing in the middle of the park and on the left wing.
