The Celtic fans have been left feeling frustrated at the lack of attacking intent by their team this season.
Brendan Rodgers has brought in a style of play that is alien to what we have been used to watching not only over the past two seasons under Ange Postecoglou but overall.
Celtic fans have been brought up watching football played ‘the Glasgow Celtic way’. Fast, furious and putting teams under the cosh.
We say it under Tommy Burns, Martin O’Neil, Neil Lennon and even Ronny Deila. But under Rodgers this season, the football has not been what we are accustomed to.
However, there was a slight change on Sunday after the Celtic manager made a few tweaks to the system and it was those tweaks that impressed former Morton manager, Jim Duffy.
Adam Idah Celtic tweak hailed by Jim Duffy
The 64-year-old was speaking about Celtic’s win over St Mirren when he said he found it interesting that Rodgers made such a big call when he’s never done that at any point this season.
Duffy said [Superscoreboard], “Celtic are not firing on all cylinders, but the bottom line is without firing on all cylinders and Rangers playing as well as they have done, you expect Celtic to improve.
“The interesting thing for me is for the first time I’ve noticed that Brendan Rodgers just tweaked it. I know he’s put Kyogo on a couple of times in that number ten position.

“But bringing Idah in, he started against St Mirren, I thought that was a big call. It will be interesting to see if he sticks with that kind of format because he’s always been a 4-3-3 guy.
“But then in the last couple of games he’s finished with a 4-2-3-1 and got the result against Hibs. He started with a 4-2-3-1 and got a win against St Mirren.
“So I’m just interested to see whether he will tweak his preferred style.”
What will pique the Celtic supporter’s interest is whether or not Rodgers will stick to how he started against St Mirren when Kilmarnock come visiting.
Derek McInnes‘ side has proven a tough nut to crack and Rodgers could well deploy Idah in the target man role once more to break the Ayrshire side down.
And what will happen when Reo Hatate returns to full fitness? Will Rodgers revert to type? All questions that will be answered as the season goes on.
But for now, the Celtic fans will be hoping that their team pick up where they left off and collect all three points on Saturday.
