Brendan Rodgers continued Celtic’s 100% winning record in the Scottish Premiership with a win over Livingston.

David Martindale was left sickened inside Celtic Park after the Livingston boss watched the Hoops dismantle his low block in the second-half of the 3-0 win.

A Benjamin Nygren double was complemented by Johnny Kenny’s first Celtic goal as the Hoops cruised to a comfortable win.

However, despite the positives, Sky Sports continued to probe the Celtic manager on transfers after a week of Rodgers telling reporters that there is nothing new to report.

And the Hoops boss didn’t seem to like it.

Brendan Rodgers ‘really not interested’ Sky Sports’ Celtic transfer question

Celtic’s pursuit of Michel-Ange Balikwisha appears to be ending as the Parkhead club look to finalise a deal for the Belgian winger over the coming days.

However, this story didn’t properly develop until hours after Celtic beat Livingston.

When asked about transfers for the 100th time this week Rodgers said on Sky Sports, “I don’t know. You will probably know more than me as I’ve been standing on the touchline for the last 90 minutes.

“I’m not really interested in that for now, if I’m honest. My focus has purely been on today’s game and then obviously the preparation for Tuesday.

“And we’ll see what happens over the coming days.”

With another press conference likely scheduled for Monday, no doubt Rodgers will be asked the same inane Celtic transfer questions once again.

The current state of play with Celtic and Michel-Ange Balikwisha

Celtic seem to be close to bringing Michel-Ange Balikwisha to the club after journalist Sacha Tavolieri revealed the current state of play.

Tavolieri said on X, “Michel Ange Balikwisha has decided to sign for Celtic FC!

“After a last meeting with the Scottish officials, the winger has been convinced by the project.

“An agreement in principle on personal terms has also been found.

“Deal expected to be completed in the next days.

“Long saga, almost over.”

Good to hear. Now maybe Rodgers will be spared the same inane line of questioning on Monday afternoon.
