As December nears its end, the January transfer window opens and Celtic are likely to be front and centre of any transfer rumours and headlines for two reasons.
The first is that Brendan Rodgers has already hinted he wants to strengthen Celtic after saying he wants to add ‘goals and creativity’ to his team.
That must be a frightening prospect for Celtic’s rivals considering they netted their 52nd goal of the league campaign against St Johnstone yesterday.
Secondly, it is undeniable that Celtic’s players will be linked with clubs or a move. With the amount of quality Rodgers has at his disposal, it’s only natural that teams will show interest in some of his best players.
One such player is Cameron Carter-Vickers as the US defender enjoys another great season at Celtic this year so far.
Brendan Rodgers shrugs off Cameron Carter-Vickers Celtic rumours
Celtic defender Carter-Vickers was recently linked with a transfer interest from German Bundesliga side, Bayer Leverkusen.
So far, there has been no offer but it is thought that the Hoops stopper harbours ambitions to get back into the English Premier League.
Addressing this after the St Johnstone game, Rodgers seemed fairly relaxed as he shrugged off the latest rumour surrounding the £6m Celtic defender.
Rodgers told the Daily Record, “I suspect there will be interest in all our players and lots of gossip and speculation going about. But no, I think our idea is to improve our squad.

“To be honest, I don’t need to say anything. I just relax and work with the players and we want to improve the squad and whatever happens, happens.”
