Brendan Rodgers has offered his latest on the Celtic squad as the Bhoys look to topple Aberdeen in the Premier Sports Cup last four tomorrow evening.
In the Scottish Premiership, both sides sit level on points with ten matches played, including a 2-2 draw between the Bhoys and Dons last month.
Celtic hold a slender advantage on goal difference, but Premier Sports Cup action is the order of the day as the Irishman looks to guide his side into a first cup final of the season.
| Position | Team | Played MP | Won W | Drawn D | Lost L | For GF | Against GA | Diff GD | Points Pts |

Confidence is high among the league leaders, with Auston Trusty stating the Hoops will be on guard against Aberdeen to avoid a repeat scenario of letting a two-goal lead slip against Jimmy Thelin’s men in October.
With Brendan Rodgers keen to continue his spectacular cup record, he has now delivered a squad update that may answer one or two concerns.
Brendan Rodgers offers squad update ahead of semi-final
Speaking in his press conference ahead of the tie, Rodgers confirmed that Odin Thiago Holm is the only confirmed absence for tomorrow’s clash for Celtic, signifying that Adam Idah is available after his injury concern sustained against Motherwell.
He explained: “We are in a really good place. Everyone is fit and healthy. We’ve only got one in Odin, who has been out for a little while with his calfs. Other than that, I’m really happy that we’ve managed to get through to this period now in a really healthy way. So, (they’re) all fine fitness wise.”
Later, he elaborated on the test Aberdeen will provide, stating: “It’s a semi-final and everyone going into a semi-final wants to get to the final.
So, we’re really looking forward to it. We are in a really good place as a squad and as a team, and we know the challenge of a semi-final.”
Celtic won’t underestimate Aberdeen threat at Hampden
Despite going into the clash as favourites, Celtic will be aware of Aberdeen’s quality on the day and won’t let any complacency creep in.
Nevertheless, news that Idah is set to be available alongside Nicolas Kuhn and Callum McGregor after the trio missed out during the week against Dundee could potentially be pivotal.
Now, the task for Rodgers and company is to field a line-up capable of finding their way into the final against Rangers or Motherwell. Hopefully, the Irishman can inspire a brilliant day at the nation stadium!
