Brendan Rodgers enjoyed his team silencing the Tynecastle crowd after Celtic thrashed Hearts 4-1 in the Scottish Premiership.
At times, over the years, the Edinburgh venue has been a difficult place for the Bhoys to visit. However, today, even with limited away support in attendance it was far from intimidating.
Celtic were dominant in the match from the start and even during a bright spell for Hearts, the home fans never really seemed to believe they could do anything of note against the champions.
Brendan Rodgers notes quiet Hearts crowd
Rodgers remarked on the odd atmosphere after the game in an interview with BBC Radio Scotland. He thinks his side’s performance was a sign things are progressing well.
The Celtic boss said: “What’s most important for us is that we come to grounds to like this. I think this is where you find out if you are a good team or not, I said before the game. You’re going to have difficult moments here and that allows you to see how you deal with them.
“I thought that the players dealt with it really, really well today. It was probably as quiet as the crowd have been here in the times I’ve been here.”
Hearts’ decision to deny Celtic a bigger away allocation of tickets was a contentious one, commented on by managers of both teams in the build-up.

With empty seats showing that off-the-park decision up, coupled with a battering on the pitch, it was a satisfying day for those of a Celtic persuasion.
The Bhoys have now beaten the Jam Tarts in the last ten meetings between the two sides. The last time they won this fixture was right at the start of the Ange Postecoglou reign when Celtic were very much in transition.
It’s a glorious run of form that we hope will continue when they visit Glasgow on December 16th.
