Brendan Rodgers says RB Leipzig win was his favourite game from this season

Winning games has become a customary trade for the Bhoys so far, from hammering Rangers at Parkhead to several high-scoring games.

It was also one of the club’s best performances on the continental stage, as they reached the play-off round of the Champions League following an excellent campaign in the new-look format.

One of those wins in the league phase was against RB Leipzig and Rodgers admitted that looking back, that was his highlight of the season.

He told Sky Sports: That’s my favourite performance of the season.

“I think the comments from some of the players afterwards, talking about the performance, and how they felt in the game, that’s what I always wanted from my team.”

What happened during Celtic vs RB Leipzig?

Celtic were able to come back from a goal down against Leipzig in order to secure a famous win on the European stage.

Leipzig were challenging at the top of the Bundesliga at that point but despite taking the lead through Christoph Baumgartner, they weren’t able to hold on.

Nicolas Kuhn bagged a brace before half time to give the Hoops the lead, before Reo Hatate made sure of the three points with 15 minutes to play.

A perfect night and great memory.
