Brendan Rodgers has been discussing Celtic’s trip to face Hibernian tomorrow night in his pre-match press conference.
The Irishman will lead his side into battle at Easter Road off the back of a seven-match unbeaten run; however, the Bhoys need to impose themselves on proceedings following a disappointing showing against Aberdeen last time out.
One positive from the 1-1 draw at Pittodrie was new signing Adam Idah, who came off the bench to lay on a smart assist for Nicolas Kuhn, salvaging a point on the day.
The Republic of Ireland international will be keen to show what he can do over the next few months after arriving from Norwich City on a straight loan for the remainder of the campaign with no buyout clause.
Should he perform well in his time at Parkhead, reports in Ireland have suggested that it could cost Rodgers around £3 million to purchase the Cork-born striker outright upon the expiration of his terms.
Brendan Rodgers heaps praise on Celtic loanee Adam Idah
Speaking ahead of his side’s visit to Leith, Rodgers has heaped praise on Idah in his pre-match press conference, labelling the Irishman an ‘incredible’ talent amid his performances in training.

The 51-year-old stated [Celtic FC YouTube]: “Adam, I’m really excited about having seen him play and now seeing him for a few days, working with him and speaking with him.
“The ability he has is incredible, really; he has every tool that you want to play at the highest level. He’s obviously doing that internationally, and it’s been a wee bit hit-and-miss for him at Norwich.
“But when I assess him, and we see him in training, we see the finishing; we see the speed, we see the touch; I’m excited by what he can bring us over these next remaining months.”
Despite some fans having initial reservations over Idah, his manager clearly sees something tangible to work with in Celtic’s push for the Scottish Premiership title.
Adam Idah is ready to contribute for Celtic when called upon
Idah was already playing regular football for his parent club before his move to Celtic materialised and didn’t fare too badly in the first half of the campaign, registering seven goals and one assist in 34 appearances [Transfermarkt].
It appears from Rodgers’ comments that he is match fit and ready to start if needed, which may prove to be a handy option with Kyogo Furuhashi not exactly firing on all cylinders.
Hyeongyu Oh is still to make his way back into contention once South Korea finish up at the AFC Asian Cup, providing healthy competition in the forward areas looking ahead to the final stretch of the season.
