Alex Valle’s Celtic future has come into focus as rumours of his part in Kieran Tierney’s potential return to the club came to light.
Fabrizio Romano delivered a double Celtic update where the transfer guru suggested that Valle was set to sign for Como which would then facilitate Tierney’s Arsenal exit to Parkhead.
However, it seems that that may not be the car after Celtic manager, Brendan Rodgers, directly addressed the rumours in today’s press conference ahead of the Scottish Cup tie with Kilmarnock.

Brendan Rodgers says Alex Valle is in ‘no rush’ to leave Celtic
Rodgers told Celtic TV, “He is still very much a player here. No, no. There’s absolutely no way that would happen.
“Obviously, with Alex coming in here on loan, I make a commitment to a young player to come in and play. He’s loved his time here. He enjoys it here, he enjoys the football.
“He’s become a Champions League player coming to Celtic and he’s in no rush to leave. However, if something was to change on that front where he may not be getting the game time, then I have to be open and honest with him to let him understand this.
“But he knows absolutely the picture here, my honesty and commitment will be with him first and foremost in terms of what the situation is.”
Has Alex Valle’s loan at Celtic from Barcelona been a success?
Valle joined Celtic last summer and has made 18 appearances on the green and white Hopps.
In those appearances the young Spanish fullback has also created five assists in three competitions.
Valle has also shown that he can cope with the rigours of Champions League football after shining in Celtic’s impressive draw with Atalanta.
However, despite all that, Valle has still failed to oust Greg Taylor for a regular Celtic first team place but has proven to be a very good back-up option.
