Celtic are getting busy in the transfer market this summer as Brendan Rodgers looks to strengthen the squad for the new season ahead.
With Kieran Tierney already added to the Celtic first-team, the Hoops squad already looks stronger for next season.
The defensive area of the Celtic first-team is looking like a priority for Rodgers as the Parkhead club look to add Japanese full-back Hayato Inamura.
However, it’s a signing Brendan Rodgers made last summer who has been told that his Celtic career is over despite being a reliable player whenever called upon.

Ross McCormack says Maik Nawrocki’s Celtic career is over
Maik Nawrocki is a player who has left the majority of the Celtic support confused. After spending over £4m to land the Polish stopper two summers ago, the 24-year-old has hardly kicked a ball.
And despite impressing in Celtic’s draw with Rangers last season and in most of his other 18 appearances, Ross McCormack has told the defender his Hoops career is all but over.
McCormack told Superscoreboard, “It looks as if he will be away this summer. Listen, I’ve been impressed by him, especially this season.
“Every time he’s played, he’s not let anyone down. I think Scales and Trusty both have had some errors in them.
“This season Nawrocki’s looked pretty solid to me. But listen, football these days, it basically just comes down to if a manager fancies you or not and it really looks as simple as the manager just doesn’t fancy him.
“And for that reason, it’s probably looking like the writing’s on the wall and he should probably leave.”
Maik Nawrocki’s all-time Celtic stats including impressive cameo in win vs Rangers
Nawrocki has made just 18 appearances for Celtic. Over two seasons that has amassed to just 1,081 minutes of first-team football.
In his first season in which Nawrocki made 13 appearances, Fotmob rated the Polish defender as one of the most reliable centre-backs in the Scottish Premiership:
- Passing Accuracy: 88.2%
- Long Ball Accuracy: 57.6%
- Tackles won: 58.3%
- Duels won per game: 5.66
And in a 2-1 win over Rangers in this season, Nawrocki stepped in for an injured Stephen Welsh and really impressed.
In five appearances last season, Nawrocki averaged a rating of 7.49 which included impressive performances in the 5-1 win at Aberdeen and Hearts and he was the best player on the park in the 3-2 defeat to Rangers.
However, despite that, Nawrocki looks like his time in Paradise is up and he could be on his way out of Celtic this summer.
