Brendan Rodgers has delivered a triple injury update on Celtic heroes Cameron Carter-Vickers, Daizen Maeda and Alistair Johnston.
Celtic defender Carter-Vickers is predicted to be out for five months after the Hoops hero broke down at the full-time whistle in the Hoops’ win against Sturm Graz on Thursday.
Daizen Maeda has been out for a couple of weeks after the Celtic striker suffered a hamstring and back injury.
And after making his starting return to the Celtic squad on Thursday night, Alistair Johnston also missed the Bhoys’ defeat to Hearts as he pulled up injured in the midweek Europa League win against the Austrians.
And heading into the Falkirk game, Rodgers has delivered an update on the Celtic trio which is not good news for the Hoops support.

The Celtic boss is reeling after Rodgers watched his team capitulate in the capital to hand Hearts an eight-point advantage.
And when asked if he had an update on any injuries, the Celtic boss just compounded the misery on the Parkhead support.
Rodgers told BBC Sport Scotland. “Well, with Daizen, we’ll have a look. He’ll join the training tomorrow. But we have to obviously be careful with that one.
“Obviously the other boys that are out, Cameron Carter-Vickers will have an operation tomorrow. So like I said earlier in the week, he could be three to five months depending for him on that injury.
“And Ali, Ali wasn’t as bad as what we’d thought maybe at the time. So he’s certainly not going to be immediate to play.”
With Maeda set to return to training it’s clear the Japan star will not be risked for the upcoming Falkirk game so Rodgers has to make do with what he currently has at his disposal.
What Brendan Rodgers said about Celtic’s January window
The Celtic boss appeared coy about addressing whether or not he will look to strengthen in the upcoming January transfer window.
After this injury update, Celtic fans would be hopeful some business would get done. But Rodgers refused to be drawn in on a conversation post Hearts defeat.
Rodgers said, “Listen, that’s a way off. It’s a way off. We’ve got so many games in between times. We had a big opportunity in the summer and weren’t able to take that.
“So we now have to focus on the here and now. And like I said, look to find more consistency and more quality in our play.”
