Celtic supporters have reacted to the son of Henrik Larsson scoring a sumptuous free-kick.
Larsson, who plays in Russia for Spartak Moscow, has scored 12 league goals so far this term [Transfermarkt]. None of those, however, could be more aesthetically pleasing than a fantastic set-piece scored against Ural. In a game Spartak won 5-1, Larsson was at the double, with additional goals from Sobolev and Quincy Promes.
Look at this, though. What a stoater.
Henrik Larsson’s son has come into his own this season. It hasn’t always been plain sailing; Jordan and Larsson Sr were attacked by Helsingborg fans after the club’s relegation four years ago [The Guardian]. Since then, Jordan Larsson has taken in spells at NEC Breda and IFK Norrköping, before moving to Spartak in 2019.
In all competitions for the Russian side, he’s scored 22 in 53 matches, and that’s led to calls from Celtic supporters to bring Jordan “home”. During Henke’s heyday at Celtic, Jordan could be seen running with the ball after matches. Not long ago, he described a move to Celtic as a “dream”:
He told Russia Today:
“For me Celtic will always have a special place in my heart. Not that I’ve played there in that sense, but it was the first place where I saw football as a young kid going with my mother to see games when my father was playing.
“That’s where I have the biggest memories in my head: ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ you have all the scarves before the games and everything so of course it will always have a special place in my heart.”

Celtic supporters want to bring son of Henrik Larsson “home”, enthusiastically respond to set-piece heroics
Celtic fans, of course, made their opinions clear.
For once, a Jordan Larsson move actually makes sense. His stock is on the rise, after an indifferent career to date. Also, Celtic will be looking for strikers in the summer, and it’d just be too perfect if Larsson Jr could come in and make a difference for the Bhoys.
