Callum McGregor has reacted to the news that a larger number of Celtic supporters will be in attendance at next month’s Scottish Cup tie against Hearts.
The Bhoys will make the visit to Tynecastle next month after advancing to the quarter-finals stage with victories over Greenock Morton and St Mirren.
Earlier today, details for the fixture were confirmed, with Ange Postecoglou’s side being handed an early kick-off on Saturday, the 11th of March.

Visits to take on Hearts are always a tough task. But it is regularly an exciting match-up, and the last time the two sides faced off at Tynecastle, it ended in a 4-3 victory for the Bhoys.
As expected, the travelling Celtic supporters are always there in their numbers, showcasing their support in Edinburgh.
However, in recent years, the number of Celtic fans in the away section at Hearts’ home ground has lessened, with the away allocation being cut.
But, for the Hoops upcoming trip to the capital, there are going to be more Celtic supporters behind the goal and a return to the old away allocation of years gone by.
As we reported earlier this week, SFA Scottish Cup rules state that “the visiting club shall have the right to claim admissions up to 20% of the spectator capacity of the ground” [SFA Handbook].
The current away allocation for Celtic fans is 1,300. However, the Roseburn stand can hold as many as 3,300 people, and we could see that filled out with green and white.

Speaking at a fan event in Belfast earlier this week, Celtic captain Callum McGregor spoke about the Hearts Scottish Cup tie and reacted to more Hoops supporters being at Tynecastle.
The midfielder stated that the players will aim to use the backing of the supporters to their advantage as they aim to reach the semi-final of the cup competition.
He said [Daily Record]: “It’s important that we try and use that along with the game principles that we always do.
“We always try to approach the game the same way, be dominant, have the ball, impose ourselves in the game. It will be great to have more supporters in there than normal, and they always back us to the hilt anyway. We’re looking forward to it.
“It will be a tough game. It’s always difficult going there, especially in a cup tie, a one-off game, but we’ll approach it like we do every other cup tie. We have to be right on the day, you have to do a lot of good things. It’s a difficult venue, but hopefully, we have enough to overcome it.”
Bigger Celtic support will be a welcomed return to exciting cup tie.

As mentioned, the prospect of the Hearts vs Celtic fixture at Tynecastle is an exciting one, and it is bound to be an entertaining fixture.
The return of more Celtic supporters in the Rosburn Stand will only add to the excitement and atmosphere that will come during the fixture.
You can imagine it is a prospect that Ange Postcoglou’s squad will be buzzing to hear about and see, as fans prepare to turn out in their numbers to support the Bhoys.
With the fixture taking place in just under a month’s time, ticket details for the match should be released fairly soon, which will only add more anticipation.
Here’s hoping we can see that fantastic turnout of Celtic supporters behind the goal, which will only add to what should be a brilliant quarter-final cup tie.
