Callum McGregor says Celtic enhancements in “every area” will keep “everyone happy”.
Celtic announced on Friday that ‘Phase Three’ of developments to Lennoxtown Training Centre have been completed, with a host of new facilities now open.
These include new medical facilities, offices for the Celtic B Team, a ‘state-of-the-art’ gym and a new analysis amphitheatre.
McGregor, one of several Celtic figures to comment on the news, acknowledged Celtic fan sentiment in his comments.

Callum McGregor on new Celtic training centre development
McGregor told Celtic’s website: “It’s all intertwined. What you see on a matchday is the preparation and everything that goes on during the week.
“I think if we can be as good as we can be in every field that we have at the football club, it gives you the best chance of seeing the best product on the pitch, which ultimately, will leave everyone happy.

“If the team is successful and winning trophies and doing all the things that we want to do. But there’s a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes as well.
“There was a period of redevelopment in terms of what we could do with the space and how we could modernise it.
“The guys behind the scenes have done a really good job and now the next part of it is done.
“It’s improving all the time and something that we need to continue to do is keep pushing to have the best facilities we can.”
Celtic assistant Shaun Maloney and former B Team manager Stephen McManus also praised the developments.
Earlier this season, the club completed eight-figure developments at Barrowfield Training Centre, which serves Celtic FC Women and the club’s academy.
The results of the Celtic Fan Survey last year showed that many in the Parkhead support would also like to see improvements made at the club’s stadium.
Celtic Park and infrastructure investment
What can be done to help provide more support for Callum McGregor?
A complete “stitched hybrid” pitch renewal was undertaken in 2025 to provide a world-class playing surface at the Hoops’ home.
The stadium’s dressing rooms were also upgraded, with Brendan Rodgers’ use of the term ‘world class basics’ – heavily associated with podcaster Jake Humphrey – garnering attention.
Whilst these improvements undoubtedly help the team, fans are less happy with the stadium at present.
Responses to the survey emphasised an appetite for expanded Safe Standing facilities and improved public transport access, among other issues.
