Celtic defender Cameron Carter-Vickers has insisted that the Hoops are not looking to stand still as they continue their pre-season preparations.
The 24-year-old was a key player in the Celtic backline last season, helping Postecoglou’s side to a league and cup double.
Off the back of his successful loan spell, the central defender swiftly completed a move back to Parkhead on a permanent basis this summer.

The USA internationalist is currently taking part in his first pre-season as a Celtic player as Postecoglou, and his squad look to build upon the success of the 2021/22 campaign.
Despite enjoying a brilliant first year in the green and white, Carter-Vickers is determined to see the Bhoys continue to improve going into the new season.
Speaking in a recent interview, the former Tottenham defender displayed that determination, becoming the latest Celtic star to state the important message that we ‘don’t want to stand still’.
He said [The Scottish Herald]: “That’s the aim. We don’t want to stand still. We want to improve on our performances from last year and try in every game to do a little bit better.
“I was delighted with last year. We worked hard all season, and to eventually get to the league title was a good feeling. [The medals] are at my house in a little box. I’m leaving them there for now. I haven’t decided what I’m going to do with them yet.
“We don’t set any targets in terms of what we want to achieve. It’s just about trying to get better every day, improve performances.
“For me personally, I just want to play games. So to play as many games as I did, I enjoyed it.”

Celtic squad have inherited the Ange Postecoglou mentality.
During the early stages of pre-season, the consistent message from the Celtic coaching staff and players is about wanting to continue their improvement.
Those within the Parkhead dressing room are desperate to bring more success to the club, and building off of last season would put the Hoops in a good position to do just that.
It is extremely positive to see several Celtic stars displaying this crucial message that we must continue to improve over the summer.
A first full pre-season as a squad appears to have brought the group even closer together, which can only be a good thing as we attempt to defend our titles.
