Carl Starfelt is doing some individual training at Lennoxtown but is still weeks away from Celtic selection, Ange Postecoglou has shared in a press conference today.
Starfelt has had a difficult time of it this season, first missing a large chunk of the summer preparation after picking up an injury on Sweden duty before falling injured just four games into his comeback.
Now, Postecoglou has shared that although he could make it back before the World Cup break, he is still weeks away from making it into the team.

Speaking in a press conference today, the Bhoys boss said: “It’s still a couple of weeks, but he is out there training. We are hopeful for before the break but the reality is there’s so many games, you’d have to think abut which game you put him in because we don’t have a lot of recovery between games these days.
“He is out running but it will be at least a couple of weeks before we can even consider him for selection.”
In the meantime, it looks like Cameron Carter-Vickers and Moritz Jenz will get the opportunity to forge a partnership in his absence, especially now that Stephen Welsh has also picked up a knock.
The duo actually looked impressive up against RB Leipzig on Tuesday evening despite defeat and the hope will be that both can remain injury free until the mid-season break.
I certainly have no concerns about them progressing in Starfelt’s absence, although I do hope to see the Swede on the mend and pushing for a starting sport – especially from December onwards when he will be fully up to speed.
