Celtic’s partnership with Adidas has been incredibly successful over the last few years as fans have flocked to buy club merchandise.

With the Bhoys’ releasing three kits that have gone down a storm this season, speculation has been mounting over the future of team wear production.

Flying under the radar, Celtic and Adidas are into the last year of their current arrangement, which was signed in 2020 and runs until next summer.

Commercially, the alliance between both parties has been a rip-roaring success, creating record Celtic merchandise revenue and appeasing supporters, who are always keen to snap up the latest Hoops, away & third kits alongside leisure and training style clothing.

Now, online rumours have emerged regarding the future of the brand’s work in conjunction with the reigning Scottish Premiership champions.

Celtic have reportedly signed a new deal with Adidas

According to Footy Headlines, Celtic and Adidas have ‘already signed a contract extension’ and an official announcement is reportedly expected to occur in the near future.

It isn’t confirmed how long the arrangement will continue for, but the outlet speculate that another five-year period could be on the table for both parties.

While the Bhoys continue to thrive off the pitch, the club are going from strength to strength behind the scenes and sit in excellent financial health heading into the turn of the year.

Celtic posted an overall revenue total of £124.6 million in their latest annual results, which is likely to increase with another money-spinning deal being agreed with Adidas.

Celtic in a brilliant position competitively and commercially

While others in Scotland operate within their own financial means, there isn’t a club in the country that find themselves in the position Celtic are in due to their global appeal and continuous Champions League involvement.

If you want to talk purely cash in the bank, the Bhoys have a physical £77.2 million compared to Rangers’ £1.7 million, emphasising the point above.

Hopefully, Celtic can continue to put their monetary superiority to use on the pitch as they have managed to do over the course of the campaign to date.
