Celtic have announced that their Scottish Premiership fixture with Falkirk has been rescheduled to accommodate the Premier Sports Cup final.

Celtic face St Mirren on the 14th of December to fight it out for the first piece of silverware for season 2025/26.

With the Hoops facing a packed fixture schedule as Celtic chase a treble, the game against John McGlynn’s side at Brockville has been moved.

And Celtic fans face yet another awkward kick-off time to accommodate the broadcasters.

Celtic to face Falkirk in January 2026

Celtic were due to face Falkirk on the Premier Sports Cup final date on the 14th of December.

But now, the Parkhead club have released a statement on X confirming the Brockville date has changed.

Celtic announced, “We can confirm that our Premiership fixture against Falkirk will take place at 7:45pm on Wednesday 14th January.”

Yet another midweek late-night kick-off that disadvantages the Celtic support who, looking at the replies, are clearly getting fed up with these strange fixture times.

Will Martin O’Neill be in charge for Celtic’s rescheduled game vs Falkirk?

As Celtic’s new manager hunt continues, the big question is will Martin O’Neill be in charge by the time the Falkirk game comes around.

After Celtic beat Falkirk, O’Neill shared his thoughts about staying at Parkhead a little bit longer this season.

O’Neill said, “I genuinely don’t know what’s going to happen. It is a fortnight, a fortnight in my life seems a really long time.

“I’m going to just take maybe a couple of days myself, reflect on the fortnight that I’ve had, in the sense of a whirlwind time, maybe just time to settle down, maybe keep the heart rate down a little bit and just reflect on that.

“But yeah, and listen, if the board make a decision in the next two weeks with a new manager well, I’ve had the time of my life.”
