Celtic have announced the match at home to Ross County on March 19th has already sold out of tickets.
Sell-outs have been common at Celtic Park this season owing to strong season ticket sales, but a Scottish Premiership match with no briefs left weeks in advance is rare.
It’s a signifier that title hype is increasing for the support, with just eight games remaining in the league season.
Celtic unity is helping title bid
Celtic have five home games and three away games left, with the stadium seemingly set to be as busy as ever over the next two months.
Even with sell-outs, the crowd hasn’t quite been at capacity for large parts of the campaign due to some season ticket holders being unable to make matches. However, you’d expect more and more put other plans aside and take in the week-to-week action.
It’s currently not confirmed who’ll we be facing at home after the Premiership split, though Rangers are guaranteed to be one. We also have St Johnstone at home just prior to the top six shenanigans.
As we witnessed at Livingston yesterday, the backing of fans is crucial for the team. Travelling supporters really set the tone with noise a colour before kick-off, helping push on the team at a venue we’ve struggled.
At home it’s crucial there is trust in the team too. Fans can’t get too nervous too soon and get behind the team as they push for goals against stodgy low-blocks and unambitious opponents.
There are definitely twists and turns to come but we’re in pole position here and unity will help get the Bhoys over the title line.
