Bosun Lawal was the star of the show for Celtic B as they drew 1-1 with Rangers in the Glasgow Cup this afternoon.
The young defender, who was playing for the first time since November after injury, was imperious in Tommy McIntyre’s side throughout the 90 minutes, delighting supporters watching on via the Pass To Paradise.
Lawal, a Republic of Ireland youth international, was actually instrumental in Celtic’s equaliser despite his defensive duties. He played a sublime reverse pass through to Kenzie Carse, who found the space to fire a low shot into the far corner.

That came after a stunning long-range strike from the visitors.
Owen Moffat and Karamoko Dembele also had chances to score in the first half but it ultimately ended in a stalemate.
The draw leaves Celtic third in the Glasgow Cup table, sitting on three points behind Queen’s Park and Rangers.
That will still be enough for them to progress into the semi-finals after the round-robin stage, with a match against Partick Thistle to come.
On this showing, it’s easy to see why Lawal is so highly-rated in the Celtic setup and why some observers are keen on a long-term partnership with Dane Murray, who also played well today.
Lawal may find it difficult to step up to the first team this season given he is still coming back to full fitness. However, he will surely be in the mix with Ange Postecoglou and the senior side this summer.
Still just 18 and on a contract that runs until 2024, he has plenty of time to make the grade, but he’s certainly made a name for himself today and caught the eye of interested supporters.
He’s definitely one to track in the Lowland League when it comes to having a long-term future in Glasgow.
