Celtic are looking to secure the future of some of their brightest talents.

The Celtic academy has been a platform for many players to go on and have a successful future, ranging from Rocco Vata to Callum McGregor.

In recent weeks, Colby Donovan has impressed Brendan Rodgers and filled the void left due to injuries to Alistair Johnston and Anthony Ralston.

Donovan was one of the Celtic youngsters in the first-team pre-season plans, and another has just committed his future to the club.

Samuel Isiguzo signs new Celtic contract

Samuel Isiguzo has agreed to extend his stay at Celtic until 2028.

Isiguzo has been Celtic B’s captain for the season and has been on a professional contract since 2023.

He was given a handful of appearances in the first team during pre-season but is yet to make a senior appearance at a competitive level.

On the Celtic website, they said: “Celtic are delighted to announce that Samuel Isiguzo has signed a new deal which will see him remain at the club until the summer of 2028.

“Everyone at Celtic would like to congratulate Samuel on signing his new deal, and look forward to seeing his journey at Paradise continue.”

Will Samuel Isiguzo go out on loan?

Sean McArdle left for Partick Thistle on loan after being given a taste of senior football at the back end of last season.

For Isiguzo, he will probably remain in Stephen McManus’ squad for this season due to having the armband, unless a move too good to turn down is offered.

The striker is expected to have a very big season and could even force his way into first-team contention if things go well.
