Celtic fans will once again protest against the board this Thursday.

The Hoops face Braga in the Europa League at Celtic Park and ticket sales are not as strong as they would normally be.

On Tuesday, seats were available in every section of the ground bar the area where the Green Brigade and North Curve Celtic are housed.

Chief executive Michael Nicholson is yet to respond publicly to supporters regarding their frustrations, and protests will only continue until progress is made regarding club-fan relations.

Celtic Fans Collective press Nicholson to act

Now, with just a day until Celtic play Braga with a silent protest scheduled for 29 minutes during the clash, Celtic Fans Collective have asked Nicholson a question.

Posting on X, the group made up of a number of Celtic fan organisations said: “Why are you ignoring us, Michael? The silence of the Celtic board continues.”

The image attached included a quote from Nicholson which was published in the latest club accounts, which read: “I will close by thanking our supporters for their continued and relentless support of Celtic.

“Supporters underpin everything we do and seek to achieve at Celtic.”

The same CFC question was then printed again underneath, asking: “Then why are you ignoring us, Michael?”

Celtic fan protest will last for 29 minutes vs Braga

After the 12-minute silence at Celtic Park in the 0-0 draw vs Hibs, supporters are escalating efforts to provoke the board into delivering meaningful change.

The Braga protest will last for 29 minutes, with the CFC linking that number to the 29 days of silence from the board.

On Wednesday, the group added: “This action, led by the Celtic Fans Collective, marks 29 days of silence from the Celtic board following an Open Letter signed by over 420 fan clubs and organisations.

“It is the second in a series of three silent protests aimed at highlighting the board’s continued refusal to engage meaningfully with supporters.”

However, there are some supporters who do not agree with the silent protests and feel it will hurt the team more than the board.

For some, a silent Celtic Park for almost half an hour against Braga may be counterproductive with regards to helping the team gain three points in the Europa League.
