Celtic were unfortunate to come away without a draw in last night’s Champions League clash vs Bayern Munich.
It was just the first-leg with the tie still alive after Daizen Maeda netted to cut Bayern’s 2-0 lead earned by Michael Olise and Harry Kane.
The Hoops are still in with a shout ahead of the Allianz Arena trip next week with Owen Hargreaves suggesting they can cause an upset so long as they play as well as they did towards the end of last night’s 90 or so minutes.
Kasper Schmeichel pulled off some big stops in the match and was interviewed by Dad Peter after the final whistle on behalf of CBS Sports.
And the former Manchester United and City goalkeeper had it pointed out to him that he has become a bit of a bad luck omen for Celtic in their Champions League campaign.

Peter Schmeichel is Celtic’s Champions League bad luck omen
After chatting about the game, presenter Kate Scott joked: “I think you’ve been to, is it three now, Celtic games this Champions League season, Peter?
“He hasn’t exactly brought you luck Kasper. Would you like your Dad to be at the next… do you want him to be in Munich or how do you feel about that? It’s up to you, CBS says it’s your decision…”
Kasper chuckled along as he replied: “I don’t think that’s got anything to do with it, I would like him to be there.”
“Kate I cannot believe that you asked that, put my little boy in that situation,” Peter added, before Kasper said: “It’s not that often you can get to my games because you’re working so with the chances that there are, you’ve got to take them.”
Celtic are still in with a Champions League shot at Bayern Munich
Celts were unlucky in front of a packed out crowd in Glasgow as they lost 2-1 to Bayern but they remain in the competition with the second-leg to come.
It could have been a different night had Adam Idah not “pointlessly” made a run which prevented Nicolas Kuhn’s goal from counting after 25 seconds.
Celtic could also have had a penalty for a foul on Arne Engels by Dayot Upamecano.
Joe Hart and Pat Nevin were at odds over the decision not to award the spot-kick.
But two former Scottish FA whistlers felt it SHOULD have been a pen.
