Celtic captain Scott Brown is enjoying watching old teammate Kieran Tierney perform for Arsenal on Sky Sports today, posting his support on Instagram stories.
Tierney was a dominating force in the first half for the Gunners, almost camped in the Tottenham Hotspur half and racking up all sorts of impressive stats. [Squawka]
Jose Mourinho’s side just couldn’t deal with him at times, with Tierney eventually producing the skill to unlock the Spurs defence.
In the build-up to the Arsenal’s equaliser in the derby, Tierney shifted his weight and roasted the opposition defender before delivering a delicious low cross for Martin Odegaard to fire home.
The move is very familiar and sums up the kind of contribution that the Scotland international is capable of.
Kieran Tierney shining at Arsenal
It’s the former Celtic hero’s fourth assist of the season and will only bolster his growing reputation in the English Premier League.
He’s been fantastic in Arsenal colours this term and has become something of a fan-favourite.
Scott Brown showed off the assist on his Instagram account this afternoon, clearly buzzing to see his old pal shine on the big stage.

It was obviously heartbreaking for Celtic supporters when Tierney left the club. However, seeing him go from strength to strength in one of the biggest leagues in the world is fantastic.
His form and ongoing rise will only boost Celtic’s reputation as a destination for top young players to improve, seize a first-team chance and go on to bigger things.
Still just 23, Tierney has an absolutely massive future at the elite level. You get the impression he is still only scratching the surface of his full potential.
In other news, Davie Provan has sent a warning to Dermot Desmond and the Celtic board.
