Celtic have confirmed that the club’s supporters have once again sold out season tickets.
The club posted the update on the official website on Thursday afternoon, with messages from both Ange Postecoglou and Dom McKay following.
Postecoglou said: “It is really pleasing for everyone at the Club that we announce today that our Season Tickets have sold out for the season ahead and I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you directly for the part you have played in achieving this.

“Your support is crucial to us, we are delighted that you will be joining us for the season ahead and it is something everyone at the Club truly appreciates.”
Dom McKay followed: “I would like to reiterate Ange’s words and thank each and every supporter who has bought a season ticket for the campaign ahead. Your support and commitment has been incredible once again.
“By you supporting the Club in these outstanding numbers it allows us a strong platform to build from, with your backing crucial in everything we do as we work to deliver an entertaining, exciting and successful season.”
The pressure is now on the Celtic hierarchy after brilliant season ticket news
McKay’s words are perhaps the more interesting, as he is the guy who will be tasked with investing the money raised by supporters.
His mention of “a strong platform to build from” is pretty telling.
Celtic are certainly in a building position at present, and there are more than a few pieces that need to be added.

A right-back is still a priority despite Anthony Ralston’s resurgence. A centre-back and left-back are probably needed too, while we could also do with reinforcements on the left-wing and up top.
The Celtic support have backed the club enormously, given that shambles of a season we had to put up with last year, and the ill-feeling that still exists towards some members of the Celtic board.
McKay now has no excuses. He must give the manager the tools he needs to complete the rebuild.
Celtic Park is expectant.
