Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers will be keen to tighten his squad this summer to provide a platform for long-term success at Parkhead.
The Irishman is set to be in the market for several new additions; however, he has also offered an olive branch to academy players, who could be given an opportunity to rise through the ranks under his stewardship.
Rodgers stated earlier this year: “I’m conscious here. I want to be here for a period of time as long as, of course, I’m successful, so I also want to create an opportunity for young players to come through here.”
Daniel Kelly and Rocco Vata have been brought through from Lennoxtown to enjoy first-team involvement this term, and both are believed to be in talks over contract extensions.
With that in mind, Celtic announced earlier today that two more starlets have committed their future at Parkhead.
Dane Murray and Lenny Agbaire sign Celtic contract extensions
Congratulations are in order for Dane Murray and Lenny Agbaire, who have both signed two-year contract extensions at Celtic [Celtic FC].
The defensive duo, who have been regulars at B Team level over the last couple of years, have signed on until the summer of 2026.

Murray has previous first-team experience at Celtic, appearing in the Hoops’ 2021/22 Champions League qualifying double-header against FC Midtjylland.
Despite being sidelined for over a year with a long-term injury, the 20-year-old will now continue his development in Glasgow’s east end.
In the case of Agbaire, he has played a crucial role in the B team set-up this campaign, registering four goals in 35 appearances across all competitions [Transfermarkt].
Hopefully, the pair can continue to progress at Celtic and eventually gain senior recognition in the years to come.
