67 Hail Hail understands that Celtic are watching Evan Ferguson’s situation ahead of the January transfer window.
Celtic were linked with Ferguson in the summer after Brighton and Hove Albion decided that the striker needed to get some regular football elsewhere.
The Hoops never really followed up their interest and he headed to Italy instead to join Roma, but is struggling for form.
Johnny Kenny recently replaced Ferguson in the Republic of Ireland squad and as the transfer window creeps up, a decision could be made.

Roma expected to cancel Evan Ferguson loan
67 Hail Hail have been told by Chief Football Correspondent Graeme Bailey that Roma are expected to cancel Ferguson’s loan and allow him to return to Brighton.
There would be no concerns about his eligibility if Celtic did try to sign the forward as he has only played for Roma this season, meaning he could feature so long as he didn’t play for Brighton.
Following the news that Daizen Maeda may end up leaving in the winter window, the need to bring in more attacking options would only increase and Ferguson is someone who could fit that bill.
Shay Given said that Evan Ferguson is better than former Celtic striker
Signing the forward would be a huge help to the Hoops, who have struggled for goals throughout the season.
Since Martin O’Neill’s return, Kenny has been among the goals, but they could be taken to the next level with another addition.
When quizzed about his possible summer, Shay Given claimed that Ferguson would be better than Adam Idah.
He told the Daily Record in June 2025: “Evan just needs to find a home, if I’m being honest. Be it here or somewhere else. He needs someone to say, ‘You’re my player.’
“I just think he needs to go, be it a loan for a season or some club buys him, and you build the team around him. I think he’s a top player, I really do.”
