The situation of Celtic man Luis Palma has had plenty of twists and turns this season.
On loan at Polish side Lech Poznan, Palma has rediscovered the form that he showed in patches early in the tenure of Brendan Rodgers.
The Polish side have the option to buy him permanently from Celtic for around £4 million, but this would be a club record fee for Lech.
This has led to doubts that he will move permanently to Poland, despite this being the player’s preference. Now, a telling update has been given by a Polish journo.
Luis Palma: overrated or underrated?
Lech Poznan want to buy Celtic’s Luis Palma and sell immediately
Speaking on Kanal Sportowy, Polish journo Adam Slawinski revealed that Lech are ‘only considering’ a permanent sale. He said: “There is only one scenario that is currently being considered with Palma.
“Lech Poznan is already looking at the market to see who would potentially want to buy Palma.

“[Lech] would like to reach an agreement where Luis Palma stays until the end – or at least the crucial phase – of the European qualifiers, if they play in them.
“They would be willing to buy Palma for 3.5-4 million euros, and sell him for 6 million euros. It is not being considered to buy him lower and for him to simply stay at Lech Poznan.
“This is a set of interconnected things. If Palma is bought, Lech Poznan would immediately want to make the move towards a sale.
“So, in other words, you’re looking for a buyer for a rental car.”
Well put by Adam, there, to be fair.
Palma has established himself as a key player for Lech, who play the second leg of their Conference League tie against Finnish side KuPS on Thursday.
They currently sit third in an absurdly tight title-race in the Polish Ekstraklasa.
