Transfer silly season took another turn on Friday as an Italian report suggested that Celtic defender Boli Bolingoli was wanted by AS Roma.
The Hoops left-back has been on the Celtic Park naughty step since travelling to Spain, without Neil Lennon or his squad knowing, and then failing to quarantine on his return.

Most of those of a Celtic persuasion reckon that Boli’s time in Glasgow will soon be over, with a move likely before October 5th.
And Italian website TuttoMercatoWeb reckon that Rome could be his destination.
Translated, their article says that Roma are interested in the Hoops left-back but they could face competition from Turkish champions Istanbul Basaksehir.

Bolingoli doesn’t seem to have a future at Celtic
The article doesn’t give any other details about the Serie A side’s interest.
It’s hard to imagine that the team who finished 5th in Italy last season would be interested in a player barely good enough for Celtic.
Even prior to Boli’s misdemeanour, his time at Celtic didn’t look to be set for a happy ending.

The Belgian has only played four minutes of league football since the derby defeat in December – ironically coming just days after he’d returned from Spain.
Previously, there has been chat about the defender going to Ligue 2 side Amiens SC on loan (Sky Sports) – and that kind of move seems far more realistic than a transfer to one of the biggest clubs in Italy.
I suppose crazy transfer deals can happen. Remember Edson Braafheid was once on Bayern Munich’s books?
In other news, reported Celtic target Vaclav Hladky has been speaking about the club’s interest in him this summer
