Celtic supporters have been reacting to the news that the Hoops have been drawn against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
The Bhoys will face the six-time European champions in a glamour two-legged knockout play-off round with the winner securing passage to the last 16 of the competition.
Celtic finished their league phase campaign on Wednesday and secured a play-off spot despite losing 4-2 in a captivating clash with Aston Villa.
It meant they finished 21st in the Champions League table and thus meant they would be unseeded in the play-off draw.
Celtic fans understood it would be either Real Madrid or Bayern Munich with manager Brendan Rodgers admitting it will be a ‘huge challenge’ regardless of the opponent.
While defender Alistair Johnston is relishing the ‘amazing experience’ to come with Bayern Munich confirmed on Friday morning.

Celtic fans on drawing Bayern Munich & avoiding Real Madrid
Celtic fans on X are relatively pleased overall with the draw as many preferred drawing Bayern Munich over Real Madrid, the most successful side in European Cup and Champions League history.
One fan admitted: “At least it’s not Madrid”.
While another Hoops fan said: “Tough but better than real Madrid”.
This Celtic supporter wrote: “Better of the two, into these celtic”.
And this Bhoy posted: “Tbf better than having real”.
Other fans were slightly more brazen about Celtic’s chances of progressing past Bayern Munich!
This user on said: “Who we playing after”.
Another wrote: “Who do we get in the last 16 after Bayern?”
One Celtic supporter simply published: “Easy”.
Celtic fans may be locked out of Bayern Munich away tie
There’s a massive cloud hanging over Celtic at the moment however – as far as the Champions League is concerned anyway.
UEFA handed Celtic a disciplinary notice after a smoke bomb was thrown onto the Villa Park pitch during the 4-2 defeat on Wednesday night.
It could mean that no Celtic fans will be allowed to attend the February 18 clash at the Allianz Arena. That’s because Celtic were given a suspended away fan ban after pyrotechnic devices were used during the Borussia Dortmund defeat in September.
And the incident at Villa Park could be the tipping point for UEFA to crack down hard on the Hoops.
