The Scottish Cup final against Aberdeen edges ever-closer as Celtic chase another potential treble.

Brendan Rodgers is chasing his third domestic clean sweep as Celtic manager as the Parkhead club chase their ninth in total.

With injured Hoops pair Jota and Reo Hatate out of the Hampden final, Rodgers hasn’t had the best news in terms of his Celtic first-team in preparation for the big day.

However, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Auston Trusty have been given a huge boost ahead of the final as the Celtic duo’s tremendous season gets rewarded.

Cameron Carter-Vickers & Auston Trusty get big US call-up after successful Celtic season

Cameron Carter-Vickers and Trusty have both featured heavily in Celtic’s quest for a domestic clean sweep this season.

The Hoops defenders have over 80 appearances between them this season as Celtic wrapped up the Scottish Premiership and League Cup with ease.

And now, both have been called up to the US National Men’s Team squad for the CONCACAF Gold Cup this summer.

Carter-Vickers currently has 20 caps for the US with Trusty on four. With the US scheduled to face Haiti, Trinidad and Tobago and Saudi Arabia both Celtic stars will have the chance to add to those tallies if they make the final 26-player cut on the 6th of June.

The Celtic stats that earned Cameron Carter-Vickers and Auston Trusty US recognition

Carter-Vickers and Trusty have been solid enough for Celtic this season. However, the duo have had their shaky moments in the green and white Hoops at times.

But that doesn’t seem to have deterred Mauricio Pochettino and the Celtic duo’s stats appear to back up the call-up.
