Celtic are gearing up for their first season of Europa League action in four years.
It truthfully isn’t where Brendan Rodgers wants to be – a disastrous defeat to Kairat Almaty has left Celtic without Champions League football.
Along with the obvious negative sides such as Thursday to Sunday turn-arounds and less prize money, the secondary competition does bring some benefits.
Clubs around Celtic’s budget consistently reach the later stages of the competition, and with ‘dropping down’ after the group stages no longer a thing, this is now an even more realistic prospect.
But with fans reeling after a controversial club statement, some may not even bother with the league phase of the tournament. If they do, it has now been revealed how much it will cost.
Celtic Europa League four-match package price revealed
The league phase of the tournament will last through until January, with 36 teams competing at the tournament in total.
The packages are only available to season ticket holders, with individual match tickets going on general sale at a later date.

Packages for the four matches have been priced as follows:
Adult: £140 (£35 per match)
Concessions: £112 (£28 per match)
Under 13s: £100 (£25 per match)
Season tickets will be used for entry as usual, unless supporters are affected by UEFA relocations. Supporters on the Home Cup Ticket Scheme will have their purchase processed automatically, and have payments taken on these four dates:
Wednesday, September 17
Monday, October 6
Tuesday, November 3
Monday, December 1
Who and when do Celtic play in the Europa League?
Rodgers’ side will play the following opponents, on the following dates:
Red Star (A) – Wednesday 24 September
Braga (H) – Thursday 2 October
Sturm Graz (H) – Thursday 23 October
Midtjylland (A) – Thursday 6 November
Feyenoord (A) – Thursday 27 November
Roma (H) – Thursday 11 December
Bologna (A) – Thursday 22 January
Utrecht (H) – Thursday 29 January
A top-eight finish would secure round-of-16 football for Celtic, whilst a top-24 finish is required to avoid elimination.
