Celtic announced record season ticket sales this evening and supporters are loving it.

Despite the ongoing pandemic and a summer of real uncertainty, the support has invested significantly again for the season ahead, on an unprecedented scale.

The club have sold out their allocation ahead of the Scottish Premiership kick-off this weekend.

Supporters don’t even know when they’ll be allowed back into Paradise.

Although the club have provided online streams for ticket holders to watch games remotely, it’s still an incredible statement of devotion from tens of thousands of people.

With what’s on the line this season, it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise.

Celtic are shooting for an unprecedented tenth title in a row, just over 20 years after stopping Rangers make the same achievement on the final day of the 1997/98 season.

Now the onus is on the club to reward this backing with real investment in Neil Lennon’s squad.

Vasilis Barkas and Albian Ajeti are reportedly on their way to Glasgow but we need more reinforcements beyond that duo with the defence and wing areas looking quite light as it stands.

There can be no excuses with the transfer window open all the way until October 5th.

These supporters were loving Celtic’s announcement, taking to Twitter tonight to share their joy…

In other news, Luca Connell could be the next big breakout Celtic star.
