The Celtic Fans Collective say that Parkhead chairman Brian Wilson has ‘reneged’ on promises to improve communication with fans.
We are in the midst of a period of little communication by the club; the announcement of Martin O’Neill was delayed before it emerged that the club were having issues in negotiations with his backroom staff.
We are now expecting confirmation that Maloney and Fotheringham will stay, a full fortnight on from O’Neill agreeing his stay with Dermot Desmond.
This is just one of many topics about which fans haven’t heard much about the club, as the status quo has seemingly remained despite Wilson’s promise.
Celtic want more money from fans as backroom chaos continues.

Celtic Fans Collective: Communication needs to improve
The Collective reshared the Parkhead chairman’s quote: “Many supporters feel the same frustrations about communication, about having an input into the club.
“They want to know what’s going on.

“That’s what I want to develop over the next few weeks. On the strategic changes I’ve spoken about, that work is ongoing.
“It is very much active and going ahead, and we’ll have a lot to say about that in the near future”, he claimed in February.
“The Collective wrote this week: “In February, Brian Wilson acknowledged that communication with fans needed to improve and said progress would be made within weeks.
“Following an initial meeting, he committed to a follow-up discussion on fan engagement.
“He reneged on that commitment.”
The Collective is the biggest mobilisation of Celtic fans in the 21st century, comprising of supporters’ clubs, in-stadium fan groups like the Green Brigade and fan media outlets like 67 Hail Hail.
Last month, they weren’t invited to a Celtic meeting about fan engagement.
Never in doubt… 😅 How relieved are we!?
The Celtic Fans Collective in 2026
The extent of the Collective’s protests this season has caused debate, but there’s no denying that the group is emblematic of a general unhappiness among fans currently.
Traitors-inspired Tifos were visible at Celtic’s 2-0 win over Falkirk, in another show of solidarity with the Green Brigade.
Celtic fans went on to sing ‘stand up if you hate the board’, in the latest of many anti-board chants heard at the stadium this season.
The Collective conceded that the boycott will have an ’emotional toll’ on supporters, but insisted that they felt the need to send a ‘clear and unequivocal’ message to the Parkhead hierarchy.
