The fallout of the Celtic AGM continues as the next round of action against the Parkhead board continues.
The Celtic Fans Collective has rallied after the AGM as Ross Desmond’s words still ring in the ears of every shareholder and supporter.
The son of an Irish billionaire shareholder was given carte blanche to launch a stinging attack on Celtic supporters as Desmond Jr labelled them bullies amongst other things.
And in response to that, the Collective have now stepped up their action against the Celtic board as they release details of the next protest coming the Parkhead executives way.
Ross Desmond put straight on ‘anti-establishment’ Celtic barb
With Dundee the next game at Celtic Park, it’s against Hearts that the next course of action against the board is being staged.
And the Collective took to social media to announce a call to action for the Celtic support.
The statement on X said, “At the recent AGM, Ross Desmond, speaking for his billionaire father, sneered at and tried to belittle Celtic supporters.
“His comments were met with immediate, loud and united resistance from shareholders and supporters who refused to be talked down to.
“They were designed to be insulting. They served only to remind us further of our identity which supporters hold dear.
“Celtic was born anti-establishment. Standing with the marginalised and challenging those in power where necessary are the very foundations of this club. Our fans are unapologetically proud of our history and our values.”

And to hammer the message home to the Desmonds’ and the rest of the Celtic board, the Collective has organised a march from where the roots of Celtic were first born.
The statement continued, “On Sunday 7th December, a Fan March has been organised from our origins at St Mary’s, Calton to our home at Celtic Park. We will assemble at 1.15pm and make our way peacefully to the stadium ahead of an important match.
“Along the route, we will pass a Green Brigade Foodbank Collection point, where supporters are encouraged to donate non-perishable food or toiletries to those in need this Christmas.
“All Celtic fans are invited to join us as we embark on a unifying and defiant celebration of everything good about Celtic Football Club.
“A PEOPLE AND A CAUSE.”
Ross Desmond may well have been getting a lot of things off his and his father’s chest at the AGM but all they have done is unite the Collective and strengthen their resolve.
With plenty of high-profile fixtures coming Celtic’s way, there will undoubtedly be more action organised as the season goes on.
